Honors 10: Composition with American Literature
This course follows the same curriculum as English 10 and continues building from Honors English 9. Students entering Honors English 10 should possess exceptional independent reading, writing, and study skills. Students should expect to master learning at an accelerated pace, as well as produce projects and coursework above and beyond English 10. Students will be expected to assume more responsibility for increased independent learning and decision-making. Students are expected to engage themselves in active classroom discussion and other means of presentation. This course is designed for the student who is preparing for advanced placement course work and is college bound. The course has a summer reading requirement.
